Founded in 1929 by Max & Lalla Arnstein, as one of the smallest Jewish communities in the U.S., the AJCC is a focus for the entire Knoxville Jewish community and a division of the Knoxville Jewish Alliance. Membership is open to all. Programs include a highly-rated preschool, an American Camping Association-accredited summer day camp, after-school and children's activities, swim team, classes, cultural programs and holiday celebrations.
The 25,000 sq.ft. facility on 13 acres in West Knoxville has four-lighted tennis courts, a pool, a fenced wading pool, gym, meeting rooms, preschool rooms, a stage and offices. The AJCC facility houses BBYO, Hadassah and the KJA.
