ABOUT OUR (P2G) Partnership

with Hadera-Eiron, Israel

No visit to Israel is complete without a visit to our P2G sister community, the Hadera-Eiron Region, where Israel's ancient history meets Israel's modern history.

Partnership 2000, known familiarly as P2G, links 38 Israeli regions with over 550 North American communities. It comprises some 700 projects, and over 10,000 people take part in exchanges each year. By linking affinity groups, providing volunteer opportunities, promoting ties between leadership groups, and school twinning, P2Goffers opportunities for many members of the communities to become involved.

March 2012

Dear Partnership2Gether Family,

The second edition of our P2G "Partnerships Up2Date" takes us to the Hadera-Eiron - Southeast Region Partnership.

Earlier this month, the Partnership held an inspiring gala celebration marking a decade of Partnership and friendship (http://p2g.jewishagency.org/english/partnerships/hadera/2012/03/22/celebrating-a-decade-of-partnership-and-friendship/). Several hundred Partnership program alumni from Israel were joined by a group of 40 friends from the Southeast Region, with festivities at the Performing Arts Building in Pardes Hanna-Karkur. Read a US perspective on the celebration written by Partnership Co-Chair Dr. Bernie Rosenblatt(http://p2g.jewishagency.org/english/partnerships/hadera/2012/03/22/p2g-southeast-consortium-taste-of-partnership-10-year-celebration/), and an Israeli perspective written by retired school principal Tova Horowitz (http://p2g.jewishagency.org/english/partnerships/hadera/2012/03/22/partnership-and-friendship-home-hospitality/).

The success of the gala evening reflects the Partnership’s ongoing P2P activities linking peer groups. Take a minute to learn about some of the excellent initiatives of your P2G colleagues:
