LOCAL Jewish Family Services Resources:

  • Information and referral services for individual and family counseling, psychological testing and evaluation, and support groups.
  • Evaluation and resource coordination for older adults.
  • Eldercare planning for elderly relatives’ short-term needs.
  • Information about area assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home health care agencies.
  • Community Resource planning, including housing options for seniors, transportation, and other links to Knoxville community agencies.
  • Community Family Education.
  • Assistance with financial emergencies.
  • Volunteer services, including visits to nursing home and assisted living residents, telephone reassurance and transportation assistance.

Most services are free or payable on a sliding scale. Staff and volunteers are available by appointment five days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call KJA for more information at 690-6343.

Jewish Family services chair, Marilyn Burnett is pleased to announce that Laura Faye Berry has been hired to serve as Jewish Family Services Director.  Laura Berry is a Knoxville native.

In September, we will have shofar blowers visit each resident for the high holidays.

September 22 - 2:00 PM Sukkot Celebration at Echo Ridge

December 8 - 11:30 AM Hanukkah Celebration and Luncheon at Elmcroft

On the first Friday of every month at 4:45 PM, we have a Shabbat service at Echo Ridge.
