Dear KJA Members and Friends,

Our current operating status (updated 7-31-2020) is as follows:

  • Unless circumstances, CDC, or KCHD recommendations change, the AJCC Pool will remain open through Sunday, September 13, 2020.  Weekday hours are now 3PM - 3:30PM (adults only) / 3:30PM - 6PM (weekend hours remain 11AM - 6PM).

  • Preschool at AJCC’s fall semester will begin on Monday, August 10.  Full preschool hours (including before and after care) will return to 7:30 AM – 6 PM.  For preschool questions, please email preschool@jewishknoxville.org or call preschool directly at 865-963-8001.

  • Shabbat at the Pool, previously scheduled for August 21, is officially canceled for 2020.

  • At this time the AJCC building remains closed to everyone except staff, students, and necessary maintenance personnel and services, BUT the office remains open to email and phone calls. Please let us know how we can assist you. If you are in need of assistance please contact Jewish Family Services director Laura Berry at lberry@jewishknoxville.org. Ed Hunter remains available for billing-related questions at ehunter@jewishknoxville.org. Ed and Laura are working hard to return all emails and phone calls. There are currently no meetings, classes, or rentals at the AJCC.

  • The AJCC facility will remain closed to outside activities/rentals through the remainder of the year.

  • We are monitoring COVID-19 recommendations and guidelines weekly; notifications are subject to change based on that guidance.

  • The last day of Milton Collins Day Camp for this summer was Friday, July 31.  Thank you to everyone who helped us continue to have the most fun under the sun despite all of the changes this year!
