Alex Schwartz is the Associate Athletics Director of Strategic Communications at the University of Tennessee, where he is the primary media contact for men’s basketball. Alex joined UT in October 2023 after spending nine years at the University of Miami. There, he worked with men's basketball for four years, including with the 2023 Final Four team, as well as with women's basketball for five years, women's tennis for nine and women's soccer for three. The New Jerseyan has worked in multiple media platforms, including radio, television, online, print and social media. Over the last two seasons at UT, both of which featured Elite Eight berths, Alex aided the efforts for Dalton Knecht, Chaz Lanier and Zakai Zeigler to earn All-America status and collect many awards. A 2013 Miami graduate, Alex double-majored in sports journalism and sport administration. His talk will cover his job responsibilities, the role of media promotion in college athletics and issues relating to NIL.
