Shone Toyves Make & Take Workshop: a 1-2 hour mini workshop in which participants will learn about the historical phenomenon of Rosh Hashanah postcards and elaborately constructed pop-up cards. Looking closely at three examples, I will lead a brief discussion of their iconographic, linguistic, and material dimensions - asking the group to consider what they might reveal about the lives of the people who sent them.
