Mondays, February 2, 9, 16, and 23 - 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Four Bam! Three Crack! Two Dot! Those magical sounds…tiles clacking, women bonding and laughing, and becoming Mahj Sistas, and the fun sound of someone declaring MAH JONGG!
Knoxville women are jumping on the bandwagon and discovering what women of the 1950s recognized as a fun time and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening. Mah Jongg, or as it’s playfully referred to – Mahj - gets under your skin and brings women together on porches, in kitchens, living rooms, and sunrooms in community centers, senior centers, houses of worship and people’s homes. It’s a remarkable game that makes you think, stimulates your senses, and is addictive. With some patience and a few lessons, you can master the intricacies and nuances of the game and join the dozens of women who are signing up to learn this fabulous game.
Join expert teachers, Marian Jay and Robin Brown at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center, 6800 Deane Hill Drive, for an exciting journey into this timeless game. We have room for eight people per class so be the first to sign up. Contact Marian and Robin at firstname.lastname@example.org and let them know you’ll join them.
